Course Description
It’s hard to be at an outdoor site and not see some level of signage, although it will vary from site to site. With this variation and using our learned experiences, Outdoor Recreation NI are excited to explore the visitor experience through signage as a webinar.
The aim of this session is to provide an insight into the various approaches and guidance available to develop engaging, appropriate, and useful signage and wayfinding for the purposes of visitor management.
There is no one size fits all when it comes to a trail, site or area, however, the principles and approaches discussed are universal and transferrable no matter the special characteristics, limitations and opportunities that exist.
The principles are effective whether you are wishing to develop wayfinding, trailhead panels, safety signage or interpretation panels.
We are delighted to welcome Woodland Trust as a guest speaker on this webinar who will go through some of their work as case studies.
