Trail Development - Principles & Standards for Northern Ireland

There are an increasing number of trails being developed throughout Northern Ireland in a range of habitats for a range of users.

The aim of this work is to produce a set of Principles and Standards for Northern Ireland that site managers and others can follow to ensure the development of sustainable trails.

Dafydd Davis was appointed in February 2012 to complete this work.

A Steering Group has been established to include representatives of Mourne Heritage Trust. Mountaineering Ireland, Sport NI, NIEA and CAAN.
