Blessingbourne Mountain Bike Trail Rangers

CAAN has recently recruited 10 ‘Volunteer Trail Rangers’ for Blessingbourne Mountain Bike Trails & Pump Track.

The trails and pump track, completed in June 2011, is managed by Dungannon & South Tyrone Borough Council through a lease arrangement with the Lowry’s who own Blessingbourne Estate.

Over time and on an ongoing basis, minor trail repairs are needed to make sure the trails and pump track remain at a consistent standard.

The Trail Rangers will work alongside Council staff to complete these minor repairs to the existing trails. This may be adding more stone to the trail surface, raking and levelling.

The first Trail Ranger Training event is scheduled to take place in early February 2012 and will be delivered by Architrail, the company that designed the trails.
