Blackwater Canoe Campsite

In partnership with Dungannon & South Tyrone Borough Council, CAAN is developing a canoe campsite on the Blackwater Canoe Trail.

The campsite will be accessible from the river only, and will comprise of a canoe step, eco-toilet, and enclosed grassy area for pitching tents.

The land is being leased from a private landowner by Dungannon Council. The Council will also provide ongoing insurance and maintenance of the site.

Project completion is expected by the end of March 2012.

The campsite will enable paddlers to split their journey into 2 days - making the trail more appealing to more people.
