As part of the implementation of “Sport Matters”, Sport Northern Ireland in partnership with the Northern Ireland Environment Agency, the Department of Culture Arts and Leisure Inland Waterways Branch and the Northern Ireland Tourist Board have been working to develop a new 10 year Outdoor Recreation Action Plan. A steering group for this work has been established and includes a number of other stakeholders from organisations and agencies that have an interest in outdoor recreation.
The steering group are now seeking the views of other stakeholders on the actions that are required to deliver the above draft vision.
They are hosting a series of public engagement forums where there will be the opportunity to share further information and generate discussions on the actions required.
