One Step Closer to Belfast MTB Trails

We are delighted to announce that last night Lagan Partnership approved funding of approximately £166,000 for the development of 10km of X-Country mountain bike and jump trails in Barnett's Demesne/Mary Peters.

This funding, which has been granted through the Rural Development Programme will bolster the £70,000 already secured from Belfast City Council and brings CAAN one step closer to securing full funding for this project.

CAAN and Belfast City Council are hopeful of securing final funding from SportNI in the next few months, meaning that trails, just minutes from Belfast City Centre, could potentially be in place by 2013.
